Union precinct will move

Voters in the Union precinct in eastern Marion County will change locations for future elections.
The Board of Supervisors unanimously voted Monday to move the polling place from a privately owned building on Lampton Hilltop Road to the Keno Fire Station at the corner of East Baylis Chapel and Lampton Hilltop roads.

CA archery building renovated

For the past several years, Columbia Academy archery coach Mike Barber has ascended the program to new heights.

Now Barber is looking to expand and took a large step in doing so by overseeing an overhaul of an old storage building on campus that was used for practice and turning it into a legitimate archery facility.


Wildcats prepare for Wesson

While Columbia (2-3) was on a bye last Friday night, the Wildcats got a chance to learn more about their first district opponent — Wesson (4-2).

Although Wesson has a favorable record, its wins have come against lesser competition and its losses have come against perennially strong teams in Sumrall and one not so much in Mize.
