Memorial Services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at the Toccoa First Baptist Church for Mrs. Ruby Louise Williamson Williams, 89, of Toccoa, who died on Thursday, March 9, at her residence. Dr. Henry Fields and the Rev. Brett Sanders officiated at the services.

Born July 21, 1927 in Columbia, Mississippi, she was a daughter of the late Mike and Annie Dale Williamson. She was a member of the Toccoa First Baptist Church and was a Southern Baptist Missionary. Ruby and her husband served in Niamey, Niger and West Africa before retiring and moving to Toccoa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dee “Bob” Williams.

Survivors include her children, Mark Williams (Joyce Simmons Williams) of Pennsylvania, Miriam Deen (Frank) of Blairsville, Georgia, Dr. Elizabeth Pinkerton (Stephen) of Toccoa, and Martha Abadie (Chuck) of Mississippi; sister, Jeanie Willoughby (Johnny) of Miss.; grandchildren, Miriam Abadie Yuen, Anthony Deen, Elizabeth Deen, Stephen Pinkerton, Alicia Deen, Glenn Deen, Kate Pinkerton Kerr, Alex Abadie and Catherine Abadie; great grandchildren, McKenzie Schaum, Ethan Schaum and Scarlett Simmons and several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends at the church following the service.
