Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 17, 2017, at Holly Springs Baptist Church for Jeanette Thornhill, 85, of Foxworth, who died on Saturday, April 15, at her residence. Interment followed in the Foxworth Cemetery. The Rev. Dave Nichols and the Rev. Kevin Crozier officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the time of the services on Monday, April 17, at Holly Springs Baptist Church.
A native of Marion County, she was a homemaker and a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mason Thornhill; granddaughter, Barbara Thornhill; parents, Henry and Myrtis Mae Davis; sister, Daisy Williams, and brothers, Howard Davis and Henry Davis.
Survivors include her sons, Randy Thornhill (Melinda) of Kokomo and Wayne Thornhill (Patricia) of Foxworth; grandchildren, Dewayne Thornhill, Tina Thomas (Chris), Josh Thornhill (Jess), Tammy Popwell (Zach), Steven Thornhill, Michael Paul Russell (Tiffany), Joseph Thornhill and Kay Smith; great grandchildren, Jeffery Smith, Kayla Sweeting and Kristen Scarborough; 12 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Dwayne Thornhill, Steven Thornhill, Joseph Thornhill, Zach Popwell, Josh Thornhill and Michael Paul Russell. Honorary pallbearers were Clinton Morgan, Mark McKenzie, Donnie McKenzie and Dwayne Powell.
