A paraplegic woman and an inmate are now facing charges after allegedly conspiring to get marijuana into the Marion-Walthall Correctional Facility via their most sensitive areas. Officers seized the pot Sunday after the bizarre encounter.







Make our roads great again

Sometimes we wonder how the infrastructure of this great nation was ever born. Think about if we had to create all of our roads and bridges that crisscross the United States from scratch. We don’t even have the money now to repave our poorly conditioned roads, much less build new ones.


Architect surveys Ford home

An architect writing a book about the historic houses of the Gulf Coast region calls the John Ford Home “the most important house that has never been measured and drawn.”

Until now, that is.
