Mississippi Farm Bureau History
Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation, an independent, voluntary organization of farmers and ranchers, was organized in 1922. The primary objective of the members of this organization was to analyze their problems and formulate mechanisms to solve these problems through interaction with the legislature and the promotion of education and social activities.
Marketing programs for agricultural products was one of the first services offered by the Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation and then the services were expanded to include a complete insurance program and other economic services. Our traditional insurance market has been the agricultural community in the state of Mississippi, but today we seek to serve all Mississippians who support the Farm Bureau values.
