Arrest made in armed robbery at Foxworth convenience store

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man in connection with an armed robbery at Cox’s Triangle convenience store in Foxworth last month.

Late Friday, investigators took Antonio White, 28, of Foxworth into custody and charged him with armed robbery. His bond was set Monday at $100,000 in Marion County Justice Court.

Aldermen studying annexation

Columbia aldermen are getting public feedback and driving to check the proposed annexation area after last week’s meeting with consultant Mike Slaughter.

It’s the beginning of a long process of deciding whether a plan that could triple the city’s area and add about 1,900 residents is needed.


Musical tickets to go on sale

Tickets for the Columbia High School production of “Music Man” go on sale online at 7 a.m. Saturday.

Director Kimberly Walley said tickets will be available for the March 2 and March 3 performances at chsmusical.brownpapertickets.com for $15 and are expected to sell out quickly.

Both performances are at 7:30 p.m.
